Shelly is recovering now at Mercy Hospital. She was sedated for two days, so she still is somewhat dazed and confused.

The play is funny and frantic and filled with music and mirth! Pixie barely leaves the stage during the entire production, so it is a couple hours of getting to watch her perform almost non-stop! That's Pixie on the right side of this flier, by the way, next to the s in Gals.

Produced by Moonlight Stage Productions, "Radio Gals" is a musical comedy by Mike Craver and Mark Hardwick, the same writing team who created "Pump Boys and Dinettes." It will run until February 20 at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and also at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Local theater legends Don and Bonnie Ward directed and choreographed the play.

Besides being in this show, Pixie (along with her husband -- former USD student Tom Warren) is among the partners in Schroeder's Club and Cabaret, which held its first successful season last year at the Westin Horton Plaza.
As many of you probably know, University of San Diego High School will close its doors after the Class of '05 graduates next year. A new school called Cathedral Catholic High School is being built in the North County to replace it in the fall of 2005.

Thus, the Charity Bowl coming up on Friday, October 22, will be the last one ever played between arch-rivals University of San Diego High School and St. Augustine High School. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. at Southwestern College and a huge crowd is expected!

Uni and Saints played varsity football against each other for the first time in 1966, so their rivalry is 38 years old! If you are a fan of either Uni or Saints, this will be a game you won't want to miss! Both teams currently sport 4-1 records and both are ranked in the County's Top 10, with Uni at 6th and Saints at 7th, so it should be an excellent game!

If you'd like to discuss the game or the Uni-Saints football rivalry, there is a topic about it in The SDCSA Gathering Place forum.
